About the Role
In this role, you�ll have to track down the insurance requirements of specific contracts such as financing agreements, lease agreements, power purchase agreements, etc., during a renewable energy project�s life cycle and ensure compliance with the listed insurance requirements in each of these contracts. You�ll have to negotiate and draft insurance requirements with financing counterparties and contractors on portfolio level. You�ll be required to maintain and lead portfolio wide insurance programs covering all aspects of the business and engaging with the insurance broker and consultants to get the best possible terms and pricing as per the prevalent industry standards. You�ll be expected to contribute to risk management programs and reports pertaining to specific high hazard natural perils on a portfolio and project level and advocate superior risk management practices to financing parties and insurers to help convert better business terms. You�ll administer and coordinate the insurance certs process such as a) coordination with the firm�s insurance broker for issuance of insurance certificate, b) ensuring external counterparties including EPC, O&M, provide evidence of insurance that is in accordance with insurance requirements and c) comply with the standard insurance due diligence process for milestones including acquisition, financial closing, term conversions and re-financing.
